Albert "Shank" Brown

U.S.Flag   Albert Brown photoLUBBOCK — Albert Brown "Shank", 67, of Lubbock, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at his residence. He was born to Johnny Everlena Brown on Feb. 17, 1945 in Milam County.

He joined the U.S. Army. He worked for Valley Pump, Mueller Industries and Foxworth Industries, and had been a machinist for over 18 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory, three daughters, Staci Brown, LaTrell Broussard and Ashley Brown; one step-daughter, Angelia Huntsman; one step-son, Sean Huntsman; seven brothers, Washington Brown (Amanda), Freddie Lee Brown (Bettie), Lester Charles Brown, Frank Brown, Carl Brown, Joe Brown (Archie) and Leonard Brown (Elaine); one sister, Rose Hankson (Charles); 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; special friends, Lucretia Stevenson Pooh and Joann Nelson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at First Baptist Church, 112 Tyler Street, Lorenzo, with Pastor Charles Hankson officiating. Interment will follow at Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. today at Griffin Mortuary.
