Services for Charles C. Battle, 66, of Lorenzo were held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 12, 2006 in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Hankson and Rev. Roger Battle officiating. Burial followed in the West Side Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo. Mr. Battle died Friday, July 7, 2006 at Lubbock's Southwest Regional Hospital.
He was born November 6, 1939 in Roxton, Texas and married Rosie Wall Scott on January 26, 1978 in Lorenzo.
She preceded him in death on January 15, 2001
Charles was a farmer and had worked for Eagle Pitcher as a welder. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist church in Lorenzo. He moved to Lorenzo in 1961 from Paris, Texas.
He is survived by a sister Sylvia Williams of Lubbock.
