W. S. GARRETT

Mrs. W. S. Garrett died at her
home five miles West of Paint Rock Monday morning, after an illness of several
weeks.
She was born in Giles county,
Tennessee, Oct. 8, 1865. Joined the
Methodist Church when she was 13 years of age.
She leaves a husband, W. S. Garrett, and nine children, beside other near
relatives. There were two single
children at home, Lonnie and Miss Jewell. Then,
near the homestead are sons W. A. Coy Garrett, and a daughter, Mrs. Pearl
Mikeska, two sons, Isam Garrett, Karnes county, Claude Garrett, Placedo, and two
daughters, Lizzie Trigg, Iriland, Texas and Mrs. Rowe of Fresno, Calif.
All the children came to the funeral except Mrs. Rowe and Isam Garrett.
A nephew, C. C. Minatra, of Placedo also came to the funeral.
Funeral services were held
Wednesday afternoon in the Methodist church in Paint Rock and burial in the
Paint Rock Cemetery Bro. Cole officiating. The
coffin and flowers were beautiful and the ceremony very impressive.
