MRS. M. A. FINNIGAN
MRS. M. A. FINNIGAN DIES
Mrs. M. A. Finnigan, aged 71, died Saturday evening at
the home of her son, Ed, at Eldorado, after an illness of several months.
Mrs. Finnigan was well known and loved here as she had spent
much of her time in recent years here with her son, Tom, and her daughter, Mrs.
J. A. Russell, who lived here until a few months ago. Funeral arrangements were
to have been carried out Sunday afternoon at Fife, the old family home, but at
Brady the party of relatives were blocked by high water until Monday afternoon,
when they were transferred across the high waters, and burial services held
Monday afternoon.
Mrs. Finnigan had been a devoted
member of the Baptist Church since early girlhood and her consecrated life has
been an example to many. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev.
Z. E. Parker of the Baptist Church here, who accompanied the bereaved family
through the flood to the cemetery.
Deceased is survived by four sons,
Ed, of Eldorado, Albert, of Fife, Ernest, of Mercury and Tom of Eden, and five
daughters, Mrs. D. C. Pence of Brady, Mrs. I. A. Russell, Iraan, Mrs. R. A.
Smith, Iraan, Mrs. Jud Bratton, Mercury, and Mrs. Harges Patterson, of McCamey.
The sympathies of a community that loved the good mother go
to the bereaved children.
