A Funeral at Mahomet on Xmas Day.

Our hearts were made sad when the news came over the wires from Chillicothe, last Saturday the 24th, that little Margie Williams was dead, the little two-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs Charles M. Williams, who moved from this place to Hardeman County some two months ago.

It is many warm friends and relatives whose hearts go out in deepest sympathy to the bereaved parents in the loss of their little Margie.  The remains were brought back to Burnet county for burial accompanied by Mr. Charlie Baker who was met in Austin by Mr. J. M. McAndrew, Mr. Rollie Williams and Ran Baker of this place.

On Sunday evening at 2 o'clock, December 25 in the presence of a large crowd of weeping relatives and friends, she was laid peacefully to rest in the Mahomet cemetery.  It is very sad indeed to relate that the parents could not accompany the remains of their dear little one to the home burying ground, owing to the fact they have another child seriously sick.  Little Margie had been sick for several weeks with whooping cough.  A complication of bowel trouble caused her death.
