Lenora Simpson Low, 94, of Llano died Feb. 28, 1999.

She was born Nov. 15, 1904 in Brady. At one time in her childhood, she sat on Texas Governor Ferguson's lap and was referred to as "Little Lenora Simpson."

She married Jame E. Low on Oct. 2, 1927 in Llano. She had been a resident of Kingsland since 1976, coming from Austin. She was a homemaker.

Low was of the Methodist Faith. She was a member of Kingsland Community Church and Daughters of the Confederacy.

Preceding her in death were her husband James, who died on Aug. 3, 1997; her daughter Sylvia Ann Low; and eight brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughter Betty Sue Low of Pontotoc; son James Edward Low of San Antonio; grandchildren Melissa Patrizio of San Antonio and Stephanie Haass of York Town; and great-grandchildren Nicholas Patrizio of San Antonio and Cortney and Vince Haass, both of York Town.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Mar 2 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel in Llano. The Rev. Don Henderson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Llano City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
