Burrel Q. Musgraves- Contractor and Builder

Burrel Q. Musgraves is buried in Alpine Cemetery. Not many people realize or know that he was one of the few early contractors and builder of some of the original buildings on Alpine's first street. He was a builder in Alpine when it was called Murphyville. He died in 1918 in El Paso, but had lived in Pecos, Marfa, Fort Davis, and Alpine. He had two daughters who lived in the area-Mrs. J. M. Rooney of Fort Stockton and Mrs. Ebinger of Los Angeles.
