Mrs. Mary Thomas Gray passed away Monday after an illness of some duration. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. y Rev. J. E. Fuller, local Methodist pastor, from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lon Joiner. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Coy Ross, Claude Gray, Gilbert Gray, Growan Gray, Loyd Gray and Wesley Plant. Interment was in the Bandera Cemetery.

The deceased was born in Maury County, Tennessee on Nov. 21, 1859 and she had made her home in Bandera county 42 years. Her husband passed away 8 years ago, and one daughter, Mrs. Fannie Plant, also preceded her in death.

Surviving her are four sons, Charlie and Bob of Bandera, Luke of Center Point and Alfred of Kerrville; four daughters, Mrs. Lula Smith of Goliad, Mrs. Esther Lackey of Kerrville, Mrs. Emma Joiner and Miss Nell Gray of Bandera; 41 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
