Settled in 1840 , it contains 2 flour mills and cotton gins, Catholic and Methodist Churches, a district school and two weekly newspapers, the Bugle and the Enterprise. Stages tri-weekly to San Antonio and Medina City, fares $3.50 & $1 respectively. Population 500. Mail tri-weekly. T.A. Peacock postmaster.
