Introduction

Introduction

We’re sure that after you take the time to explore our other web pages as listed above that you will  agree that there are more than enough FREE records and databases available for you to search for your ancestors before you make a commitment to subscribe at a pay site.  With the exception of Ancestry.com we have found that most pay sites are not worth the money.   So keep you money in your pocket and use these no cost resources to help establish your family history.

Family history doesn't have to be overwhelming, even though there's an endless supply of records to search. Censuses, military records and vital records are a great place to start—try one of them to get your feet wet.  You never know which nugget of information will set you on the path to breaking down your brick walls. These research ideas can get your family tree started or launch it to a new level.

For genealogists, all family history research begins with Birth, Marriage, Death, and Divorce records contain virtually all the keys to discovering our ancestry.   Census records are also very important because in addition to counting the inhabitants of an area, the census generally collects other vital information, such as name, age, citizenship status and ethnic background.  Each census can paint an invaluable portrait of a family at a particular place and time.  In our collection of Military Records you can find enlistment dates, learn about famous battles, locate gravesites of war veterans and discover the unique details of military service that will help you chronicle the stories of the lives of those who served in the United States military.

The records and databases we’ve collected are all from sources that are FREE of charge.  In addition to the types of records addressed in the previous paragraph you will find up to nine (9) more web pages with links to Court, Land, Wills, Tax & Occupational Records; Immigration & Emigration Records; Obituary Records; Family History Records; as well as  Directories,  Member Lists and much more....
