Mrs. Nettie Wallace Newton, 81, 408 N. Jay Street, died at her home at 1:40 am today, having been confined to her bed since a fall on Christmas Day. mrs. Newton had resided at 408 N. Jay Street since her marriage to George E. Newton March 14, 1876, almost 64 years ago.

She was born at Bartlett August 12, 1858, daughter of the late Joseph and Maryette Perry Wallace. Mr. Newton died September 28, 1938. Mrs. Newton was a member of the Free Methodist Church. She was the last member of her family.

Surviving are a son, Frank, at home, a grandson, George S. Newton, Marcy, and a great-grandson, Dennis G. Newton, Marcy. There are also several nieces and nephews.
