Mabel K. Marggi, 75, of Route 233, Rome, beloved wife of Edwin L. Marggi, passed away Friday, August 23, 1991, in St.Luke's Memorial Hospital Center after a long illness. She was born Oct. 20, 1915, in Taberg, a daughter of Benjamin and Alice Mansfield Armstrong. She was educated in Taberg schools and later worked in the Union Fork and Hoe Co., Rome Fishing Tackle Co. and Oneida Ltd. She married Edwin l. Marggi in St. Peter's Church on December 28, 1948. From that time she devoted her life to her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Edwin, beloved daughters and sons-in-law, James and Pamela Marggi Farruggla of Oriskany and Rory and Patricia Montgomery of Rome, two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Bennett, Kodiak, Alaska, and Mrs. Alice O'Dell, Rome, and a brother, Elmer Armstrong, West Lee. She is also survived by two loving granddaughters, Lisa and Jessica Vickers-Montgomery. She was predeceased by three sisters and four brothers. Funeral will be held Monday at the Barry Funeral Home. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
