Peter C. Hubal, 71, RD 2 Bartlett Road, a retired truck driver died today, Dec. 13, 1988, at Faxton Hospital, Utica, after a long illness. Born Aug. 16, 1917 in Pennsylvania, he was a son of Charles & Pauline Sekach Hubal. He married Eleanor Hicks Oct. 31, 1939 in Taberg. He served in the Army in Germany during WW II. He was formerly employed as a truck driver by Coleman Brothers Trucking and the Red Star Trucking Co., retiring in 1979. Mr. Hubal was a member of the Bartlett Baptist Church, the Stanwix Heights Volunteer Fire Department, the Polish Home and the American Ukranian Veterans and Mens Club. Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Mrs. William (Linda) Olbrys, New Hartford, a son Peter C. Hubal Jr., Rome, three sisters, Mrs. Elsworth (Anna) Armstrong, Taberg, Mrs. Walter (Mary) Puchyr and Mrs. Stella Beer, both of Rome, two brothers, Charles Hubal and John Hubal both of Rome, 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be Thurday at Prince-Boyd and Hyatt Funeral Home, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
