Cleveland - Mrs. Rebecca A. "Becky" Dean, 34, of Stone Barn Road, died Tuesday, March 8, 1988, in Oneida City Hospital after being stricken at home.

Born in Rome on January 30, 1954, she was a daughter of Alfred and Mary Carpenter Eastup. A graduate of Rome Free Academy, she married Gary L. Dean in New London on July 12, 1972.

She was a team mother for the Camden Little League, coach in the Camden Girls Softball League, and a Girl Scout and Brownie Leader.

Surviving besides her husband and her parents of Rome, are a daughter, Brandi A. Dean, at home, two sons, Darrick J. Dean and Jason P. Dean, both at home, three sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Colleen) Burley, Miss Denise Eastup, and Miss Crystal Eastup, all of Rome, four brothers, Michael J. Eastup, Richard M. Eastup, and Randall J. Eastup, all of Rome, and Timothy A. Eastup, Taberg, maternal grandmother, Mrs. Anastasia Carpenter, Rome, and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Agnes Eastup, Utica.

Services will be held Friday. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery.
