Conrad, Gertrude Wood

Ill since Wednesday, Mrs. Gertrude V. Conrad, 71, wife of Benjamin M. Conrad, 711 N. Washington St., died early this morning in Rome Hospital.

Born in Brockville, Canada, September 23, 1870, she was a daughter rof Ransom and Mary Wood. She was married on August 17, 1892 to Mr. Conrad, residing in Rome since the marriage. Previously she lived for a time in Delta.

She attended the First Baptist Church and was a member of Holly Chapter, OES.

Surviving are her husband, three nieces, Mrs. Maude Wyman and Miss Lilla Wood, both of Rome, and Mrs. Rufas Staley, Los Angeles Calif., and a nephew, James Soper, Syracuse.
