Henry L. Lahah, aged 20, was ill only 1 week Another victim of influenza and pneumonia - wife very sick at time of his death. The circumstances surrounding the death of Henry L. Lahah are exceedingly sad. A week ago last Friday Mr. & Mrs. Lahah, who were then a happy young couple and both employed in this village, were stricken with influenza. Mrs. Lahah was removed to the home of her parents, Mr. & Mrs. W. W. Miller on Washington Street and Mr. Lahah was taken to the home of his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Frank Lahah on Cemetery St. In his case pneumonia developed and he expired Monday morning at 10:42. His wife was still very sick when she received the news of his death. Henry L. Lahah was born in Boonville 20 years ago the 2nd of last May. His mother died when he was four years old. His father, the late Geo. Lahah died of pneumonia during the first run of the influenza epidemic. And since them Mrs. Henry Lahah of Canastota passed away, the present visitation of death making the third time the Lahah family has been bereaved in two months time. Deceased had resided in Camden for the past 13 years and had many friends who will miss him. His marriage with Miss Miller took place 3 years ago. Besides his wife and grandparents he leaves two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Ballis of Far Rockaway LI and Mrs. Mary Stabb of Oneida. Funeral will be held from the Lahah residence on Cemetery Street at 10 tomorrow and body will be taken to Boonville for burial in the family plot.

Second Clipping: additional notes: After the services by request of the young wife of Mr. Lahah, who is ill at the home of her parents, Mr. & Mrs. W.W. Miller on Washington Street, the remains were taken there that she might view them. unable to leave the bed she was lifted up so she could behold, for the last time, the form of the loved one. It was a pathetic moment. The remains were taken on the noon train to Boonville for interment.
