A NEW DAIMLER AMBULANCE PRESENTED TO THE PEOPLE OF TODMORDEN BY JOSHUA HOYLE IN 1925.

This Daimler was the second to be donated by Mr. Hoyle. The first was a Rolls Royce he presented in 1920. He was a son of Caleb Hoyle, the first Mayor of Todmorden. He died 15th February 1929 aged 46 when he failed to survive an anaesthetic administered by his dentist.
