2 i John Charters2 Organ, born 28 Feb 1815 in Lebanon, Wilson Co., TN; died bef. 1860. He married in Jan 1837, Elizabeth Stone. Sources: IGI 1992; Marriage Records for Wilson Co, TN; Census for 1850, Wilson Co, TN; "History of Dodd City, TX" (Fannin Co Webpage) it says "In 1860 the widow of John Charters Organ started a hotel". The 1880 census for Fannin County shows Mrs. E. Organ, age 65, who "runs a hotel" and with her are some of the children shown on the 1850 census with John C. Organ & his wife, Elizabeth, age 35 in 1850.

Simpson Augustus Organ is the grandson of Simpson Organ &
Sina Wilson Organ. In 1870 he is found on the Collin County
census as "Augustus Orgain" next to Hamilton Douglass.
He would be Mary A. Douglass' 1st cousin, once removed. Simpson
Augustus "Gus" Organ also has another connection to our
family. He married Priscilla Angeline Wilson, sister of Amanda A.
Wilson who married Elijah Houston Douglas, son of Mary &
Hamilton Douglass. Simpson Augustus Organ and Elijah Houston
Douglas would be 2nd cousins.

she had 3 children.
