In the name of God Amen
I Thomas Stark of the county of Sumner and State of Tennessee being weak in body but perfect in mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will & Testament --

I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Celia Stark the plantation whereon I now live with all the appertances thereunto belonging with all the stock of every description all the working utensils crop of every description, Household and kitchen furniture together with three negroes namelly Sucky, Mereah and James with there futer increase during her natural life and after her death to be equally divided among my now living children.

It is my will that all my just debts should be paid as soon as possible & my children raised and educated.

The negroes are to remain in my wifes possession and not to be sold provided there is property sufficient to pay the debts aforesaid.

I do also nominate and appoint my wife Celia Stark and my oldest son Talliaferro Stark as my Executor and Executrix of this my last will and Testament afforesaid signed sealed and delivered this 26th August 1824
