In the name of God Amen:
I Norman Peek of the County of Sumner and the State of Tennessee being in my perfect mind and
memory, do on this day and date hereafter written make this my last will and testament, to wit,
First, I leave my beloved wife, Anne Peek, the tract of land whereon I now live, containing _
hundred and twenty acres _ as follows beginning at a corner white oak on James McKendrees
line, thence north _ for _. Also the horses, four cows and calves, twelve hogs, such as may be her
desire, also all the plantation utensils all the household and kitchen furniture and the _ corn,
wheat, oats, _ of _ the plantation, also one negro woman named Letty and one child named
Anthony all of which to be hers during her natural life or widowhood:
Secondly. I give to Joshua Smith the tract of land whereon he now lives containing one hundred and _ acres _ _ _ bounded as follows: Beginning at a Post Oak and Hickory on James Wilsons _ line thereas south _ for compliment.
Thirdly. I give to Silas Fulgum one tract of land, whereon the Widow Grainger formerly lived, containing _ acres more or less bounded as follows. Beginning at a _ on James McKendrees line thence north _ for compliment.
Fourthly: All the residue of my property to be sold and the money to remain in the hands of _ the Executor for the support of my beloved wife Anne Peek. In case of misfortune or _ she should have need the said _ sell (line to faded to read) wife, that all the property lent (or left?) to be sold by my executor and the money arising therefore with what may remain in the hands of the Executor from the first _ to be equally divided between Joshua Smith aforesaid and then of my nephews, to wit, Jeffrey Peek and Jesse Peek. Sons of William and Es_ Peek and Nathaniel Simmons son of John and Elizabeth Simmons.
And Lastly I leave James McKendree and Joshua Smith both of the County and State aforesaid
my Executors to this my last will and testament affixed, sealed and delivered the 28th day of Dec
1814.
