In the name of God, Amen. I, Maria Louise Blackmore, wife of James W. Blackmore being of sound mind and disposing memory, do make and publish this as my last Will and testament, hereby revoking any other made by me at any time prior to this.

I will, and bequeath to my beloved husband, James W. Blackmore my land in Dist. No. 21 Davidson County Tennessee consisting of two parcels, one of Twenty eight (28) acres; the other of fifty four and one eighth (54 1/8) acres; being the same land conveyed to me by my father W. B. Ewing by deed of date March 21st. 1873, to which I refer for more particular description. Written this the 5th day of January 1877.

Sumner County Court December Term Dec. 11th 1896.
A paper writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Mrs. Maria Louise Blackmore deceased, was this day produced in open Court for probate, when Walter Witherspoon, D. F. Barry, W. A. Guild and William Hall personally came into open Court and being duly sworn, depose and say that they were personally acquainted with Mrs. Maria Louise Blackmore, and that the handwriting of said Maria Louise Blackmore was generally known by her acquaintances, and that they are acquainted with her handwriting, and they verily beleive the paper writing dated January 5th 1877 and signed by Mrs. Maria Louise Blackmore, and purporting to be the lasy Will and Testament of Maria Louise Blackmore dec'd. and every part of it is in the handwriting of Maria Louise Blackmore, [pg 138] and that her signature thereto is genuine. And W. A. Guild and J. W. Blackmore being duly sworn depose and say that said paper writing was found after the death of said Maria Louise Blackmore among her valuable papers. It is therefore ordered by the Court that said paper writing be recorded as said last Will and Testament of Maria Louise Blackmore deceased.
