I John Hargrove of Sumner County do dispose of all my estate . . . in the following manner. In consideration of the fidelity and attachment which my Negro P___? has shown to me I give him his freedom . . . after my decease . . . I give to Polly Hargrove daughter of my brother William Hargrove of the State of North Carolina a Negro . . . I give to my other niece Nancy Hargrove the second daughter of my brother William Hargrove of the State of North Carolina a Negro boy . . . I give to Nancy Hargrove the daughter of my sister Anna Hargrove of this county a Negro named Daniel. I give to my niece Polly Hargrove the second daughter of my sister Anna Hargrove of this county a negro girl . . . I give Doakes Prewett of the State of Kentucky a Negro woman named Catherine her child Winney ___? Negro which Sarah having a husband ___ ___ who belonged to my neighbor Daniel Smith if his son George Smith choices to give __ five hundred dollars . . . I give to Sally Singleton? a _?. . . do appoint my friend and neighbor Thomas Preston the Executor of this my last will and testament . . . this first day of October 1815.
