I HENRY E. JONES being of sound and disposing mind and memory, though in feeble health, do make and ordain the following dispersion of my property as my last Will and Testament.

Item first. I give to my beloved wife, SARAH, during her natural life the tract of land on which I now live, containing two hundred acres - also my tract of one hundred acres lying near the poor house on the ridge and the six following negroes - namely, CHARLOTTE, MOLLY, HENDERSON, STEPHEN, BILLY, and ARCHY - with remainder at the death of my wife to my daughter SUSAN COLLIER and the heirs of her body forever. I also give to my wife, without limitation or restriction, all my livestock, farming tools and utensils - and farming produce that I may die possessed of . and one half my household & kitchen furniture.

Item second. I give to my daughter SUSAN COLLIER all the balance of my Estate, real, personal and mixed, excepting my horse GENERAL TAYLOR - which I give to my son in law, VINES L. COLLIER and I appoint him Executor to this Will - with directions to pay my debts and funeral expenses from the money that may be on hand at the time of my death and the proceeds of the sale of so much of my stock and farming produce as may be necessary for that purpose. As witness my hand and seal this the 30th day of March A. D. 1849 ---
