Know all men by these presents that Jordan Hackney of the State of Tennessee Sumner County, being of Sound and disposing mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all wills and bequests heretofore by me at any time make.

1st. I desire that all my debts and funeral expenses be paid out of the first moneys that may come into the hands of my executor.

2nd. I give and bequeath into (unto) my wife Minerva Hackney for her sole use and benefit during her natural life and then to dispose of the same as she pleases.

All of my real estate, money and personal property of which I may be in possession of at my decease. I give her my home tract of land situated in Sumner County containing fifty six acres, also forty two acres in Wilson County State of Tenn.

In testimony whereof I have this day set my hand and seal.

Sumner County Court Jany. Term Jany. 6th 1896.
A paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Jordan Hackney dec'd. was this day produced in open Court for probate, and the death of the two subscribing witnesses thereto viz; Geo. W. Boone & Henry Lester being suggested, came H. T. Williams & D. T. Boone and being duly sworn say they were each acquainted with said Geo. W. Boone & Henry Lester during their life time and their handwriting, and verily believe their signature to said will as witnesses to be genuine. And R. C. Searcy being duly sworn says he was well & personally acquainted with Jordan Hackney during his life time & his handwriting and after examining of said will and the signature thereto, says he verily believes it to be the signature of Jordan Hackney dec'd. when said paper writing was ordered recorded & filed as the last Will and Testament of Jordan Hackney dec'd.
