State of Tennessee
Sumner County Court April Term 1879.
The last will and testament of Cyrus Boyd was this day produced in open Court for probate, when upon came into Court, S. W. Paschal one of the subscribing witnesses to said will who being first duly sworn, proved the due execution of said will in common form and it having been proven by said Paschal that James Montgomery the other subscribing witness was dead. He like wise proved that he was well acquainted with the hand writing of the said James Montgomery. That he had often seen him write, and that he verily believed the signature as a subscribing witness to said Will was in the genuine hand writing of the said James Montgomery, it is therefore ordered by the Court that said Will be admitted to record. And the said William J. Frazier, executor named in the Will appeared in open Court & accepted the execution of the same no bond being required of the Executor by the Will, he was duly qualified.
