In the name of God Amen:
I Andrew Hamilton of Sumner County and State of Tennessee . . . I give or commit my soul to Gold who gave it and my body to the earth . . . Secondly I wish all my just debts and personal expenses paid . . . the land myself and James Hart purchased of Thomas Harris on Round Lick Creek . . . my sister Sarah and the heirs of Esther and Margaret my deceased sisters to each of them ? dollars . . . my sister Mary my mare I call Patience . . . to my sister Dory I give thirty dollars in cash . . . my nephew William Bowman I give my two year old colt . . . my brother John W. Hamilton . . . my brother John's son Patrick Hamilton . . . 14th day of March 1815
