The last will and testament of John Whitworth, being in my right mind and perfect memory, do hereby make my last will and Testament in Manner following. I will and Bequeath to my beloved son James Whitworth one sorrel horse colt to be his own from the day of my death. To my other children namely to my beloved daughter Polly Hartford, Thomas Whitworth and to my daughter Patty Searcy, as also to my daughter Tabitha Hethyly deed to my two little sons Clarbourne and Samuel Whitworth as also James above mentioned I will and bequeath one dollar each the remainder of my goods and chattel with all and singular of my stock of horse _____ _____ cattle and hogs and all my house furniture and working tools together with all my property without destruction

I will and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth Whitworth __ in case she marry and take to herself one third of the above mentioned to her own use and divide the other two thirds equally amoung the above mentioned Children and in case she remains a widow till death to dispose of the goods and property at her own discretion. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and applied my seal this 21st do November or December 1801.
