Muster Roll for Day's Unlettered Company in Colonel McKoin's 55th Tennessee Infantry. This company was from Sumner and Macon counties. It was consolidated with Joyner's Unlettered Company to form Co. H, Consolidated Infantry Regiment. Losses at the battle of Shiloh, desertions, etc., had so weakened the 55th and the 44th that they were consolidated, April 18, 1862, and known as the 44th Consolidated Infantry.
