Item: In the first place I wish all of my just debts be paid. Item, In the second place I
give and bequeath unto my beloved wife the plantation whereon I now live during her
natural life containing 340 acres, also my negro man Abram and Isaac and negro Woman
named Ann and Chaney and her child Martha and Negro girl Betsey and Charlotte. Item,
I give and bequesth to my son Elvis J. Brackin, my negro man Elvis and my negro boy
Jack and my negro girl named Sarah. Item, I give and bequeath unto my son James S.
Brackin 2 negro boys David and Nathan and a negro girl named Louisa. Item, I give and
bequeath or lend unto my daughter Eliza B. Brackin after the decease of my wife a negro
girl named Martha during her life and after my daughter's decease to her children her and
her increase if any and also one horse or mare. Item, I lend unto my daughter Elvira my
negro girl named Matilda and her increase if any to go to my daughter Elvira's child or
children equally and my daughter Elvira to have 1 horse or mare of my estate during her
life and said above Husband to have nothing to do with said horse or mare. Item, my
lands of every description to belong to my 2 sons, the place I reside on after the decease
of my wife and the balance of my estate not otherwise divided after paying my just debts
and funeral charges to belong to my two sons, Elvis J. Brackin and James S. Brackin to
be divided equally between them. Item, I lend unto my bro-in-law and friend Reuben
Searcy and his wife Polly, my negro woman, Grace and my negro woman Clement and
Grace's children by the following names to wit: Patsey, Honor Jane, John and Harriett
during their natural lives and at their decease to be equally divided among the children of
the said Reuben Searcy. I do hereby appoint Elvis J. Brackin and James S. Brackin my
executors�the court not to require security of them to this my last will and testament.
