Thopholis and Martha Russell Kennedy
Thopholis (Taut) Kennedy was born in 1856, the son of William Carroll Kennedy and
Elizabeth Donoho. On Nov 27th 1874 he married Martha Addline Russell who was born
in 1859 , the daughter of John R. Russell and Mary A.Shoulders. They were the parents
of the following children: Alford b.1876; Burnettie b.1877, Wm Carol b. 1879; Maggie
b. 1881; Mary b. 1883; Effie & Zeffie 1884; John R. 1887; Rachel A. 1889. Martha died
in 1893 and is buried in the Russell Cemetery near Russell Hill in Macon County.
Thopholis married Logana Dycus on Feb 28, 1895. They had the following children: Daphne
Mildred b 1896; Sallie Clark b 1898; & Slyvia E. b. 1903. Thopholis died on Nov 27, 1914
and was buried beside his first wife in the Russell Cemetery.
