John Dickerson's 80th Birthday
This picture was made January 15, 1955 on John Dickerson's 80th birthday.
Shown with him are all of his living siblings. John Dickerson was my grandfather.

L-R: Robert David (Corker) Dickerson, b Jan 22, 1892, d Feb 11, 1956, married Nellie Givens,
b Sep 21, 1900, d Jan 19, 1973. They had four children who lived to be adults. They lived on
the Stone Branch in the Pleasant Shade community and their house is shown with the Stone
Cemetery pictures on this website. They are buried in Sanderson's Cemetery.

William Pickering (Will) Dickerson, b Jan 30, 1886, d May 9, 1974, married Jettie Earps,
b Jul 14, 1892, d Aug 30, 1934. They had a number of children who lived to be adults and lived
on the home site of Will's grandfather, Lanson Dickerson, in the Dickerson Hollow near Pleasant
Shade. They are buried in the Jabe Gregory Cemetery in Trousdale County.

John Thomas Dickerson, b January 15, 1875, d April 28, 1962, married Laura Aldora Smith,
b August 2, 1880, d October 2, 1972. They had seven children that lived to be adults. They lived on
Little Peyton's Creek near Pleasant Shade and are buried in Sanderson's Cemetery. ,

Mary M. Dickerson, b Jan 1, 1885, d Dec 13, 1979, married Herschel Gregory, b Dec 8, 1886,
d Jul 22, 1961. They had three children who lived to be adults and lived on the Young Branch in the
Mace's Hill community of Smith County. They are buried in the Dixon Springs Cemetery.

Nancy Rebecca Dickerson, b Mar 28, 1889, d Dec 23, 1963 married James (Frank) Watson,
b Aug 30, 1886, d Apr 24, 1961. They had five children who lived to be adults and lived on Little
Peyton's Creek near the Macon-Smith County line. They are buried in the Will Gregory Cemetery.

Vick was the daughter of Jim and Matilda Dickerson
Victoria A. (Vick), b Nov 25, 1872, d Nov 19, 1943 married Brice Martin Gregory,
b Feb 2, 1862, d Apr 4, 1915 and had five children who lived to be adults. They lived
in the Cato community of Trousdale County and are buried in the Jabe Gregory cemetery.

James Lanson Dickerson
James Lanson Dickerson was born Oct 10, 1874, and died Nov 30, 1897 and never
married. He was a teacher and is buried in Sanderson's Cemetery at Pleasant Shade.

Jettie Johnson Dickerson
Jettie Johnson Dickerson, b Feb 28, 1891, d Aug 25, 1953 married Alton Gregory,
b Aug 8, 1886, d May 10, 1970. They had four children who lived to be adults and lived
in the Monoville community. They are buried in the Dixon Springs Cemetery.

George Henry Dickerson, b Sep 13, 1881, d Dec 7, 1909 married Bessie Hackett,
b Jan 8, 1882, d Oct 17, 1920. They had three children that lived to be adults and lived in
the Pleasant Shade community. They are buried in Sanderson's Cemetery.

Samuel H. Dickerson, b Jul 1, 1877, d Feb 25, 1937 married Arra Ida Smith,
b May 4, 1884, d Aug 31, 1964 and had one daughter, Ethel, b Jul 12, 1901, d, Jul
12, 1982. They lived in the Dickerson Hollow near Pleasant Shade and are buried
in the Oldham Cemetery (Stone Branch).
