James Samuel (Jim) And Matilda Anderson Dickerson
James (Jim) Samuel Dickerson was the son of A. Lanson and Rebecca Granade Dickerson.
Jim was born November 2, 1848 and died October 20, 1921. Matilda Louise Anderson
Dickerson was the daughter of John Gordon and Sarah Graves Anderson. She was born
August 3, 1850 and died July 2, 1927. Jim and "Tilde" Dickerson were married in May
1870 and became the parents of thirteen children of which ten lived to be adults. One
of the sons was John Thomas Dickerson, my grandfather. Jim and "Tilde" lived in the
Dickerson Hollow near Pleasant Shade and are buried on their old home place.
Jim's Sister, Nancy married Jesse Beasley who is pictured on this website.

The picture was made by Dewey Dickerson (grandson of Jim Dickerson) in March 1975.
The house was torn down in the late 1970's.
