Waggoner Cemetery
The Waggoner Cemetery is located 100 feet east of the early 1800's Waggoner house at #14 Old Sanders
Creek Road. The house is being beautifully restored by Michael & Judy Kemp. On the hill behind the main
house is a log cabin where the slaves lived.

On Page 130 says the following:
"Waggoner Cemetey- Located on Hogan's Creek, about 2 miles south of Hwy 70N, and 1/4 mile east of
the Hogan's Creek Road at the old Waggoner house. All of the graves are unmarked but are said to be the
Waggoner Family and their relatives. There are approximately 20 graves."

A marker was placed by John Waggoner Jr. Jan 2002 in memory of his gggrandfather Jacob Waggoner
1805-1893 and his second wife Ferby Highers 1829-After 1900- who married June 10, 1880. Jacob's
first wife Celia Enoch (1808-1878) is buried in another Waggoner Cemetery on County House Road.

Calvin Minton, young son of Garfield Minton, is also reported to be buried here.
There is a metal marker of the type used in late 1800's but not readable.
