Rucks Cemetery
The Rucks Cemetery is located west of Rome off Hwy70 on Hiwassee Rd.
On the former Caplenor farm now owned by Glenn Pettross.

William Walker Ward 6 Sept 1825-10 Apr 1871 Col. 9th Tn. Cav. CSA "Ward's
Ducks" --Under the command of John Hunt Morgan. He was captured on Morgan's
Ohio raid. His civil war diary is published "For the Sake of My Country."
by R.B. Rosenburg. He married Betty H. Rucks granddaughter of Josiah Rucks.
