Gibbs Cemetery
The Gibbs Cemetery is located in South Carthage on Hwy 53 in front of the Vocational
School and across the road from Upper Cumberland Electric Membership Corp.. This is
a very old cemetery with a large number of graves marked with fieldstones.This cemetery
was once located in a remote and secluded area but the construction of a new highway
has put it beside a major highway in the county.
