Allen Cemetery
The Allen Cemetery is located 60 feet behind an old log cabin on a private farm
at the end of Luther Allen Lane. This lane turns off Gordonsville Road (Hwy 25)
beside the TNT Market and continues 8/10 mile to the cemetery. The cabin was the
home of Burton Allen (1866-1908) and wife Mahala Orange Allen (1872-1942).

The cabin has not been occupied since her death. There is another similar log
cabin on this farm. There are approx. 15 graves of the Allen family marked with
fieldstones. The one marked tombstone was broken and the top half was found
buried about five inches deep.
