ROBISON, ROBINSON
I am looking for information on my great grandfather. I was told by my
grandmother that he was one of the construction engineers on the Harahan
Bridge (opened in 1916) in Memphis and he died building it. I want to find
out if there was a newspaper article, obituary or anything in print about
him. I only know that his name was S. (Samuel?) ROBISON (could be misspelled
ROBINSON). Someone told me that there is a book in the Memphis Library
entitled "The Great Bridge of Memphis", about the Harahan Bridge. Maybe
someone that frequents the Memphis Library could check out that book to
see if it mentions him? FYI, my grandmother took me to that bridge when
I was a girl and showed me a plaque that had his name on it. I have since
learned that that plaque is no longer there, may have been replaced with
another.

owned a saloon and Ernest worked for a railroad. I am also looking for
info about the Charles WENDT family in Memphis. Charles WENDT married Anna
