Cemeteries in the Standing Stone State Park. Also on State Forestry
Service Property. Andy McBride who is a state forestry supervisor
Standing Stone and Pickett State Parks has worked for the Forestry
Service for 3 ½ years. He will give a talk about the history
of the forestry service in Overton County during the tour. Along
with history of individuals that are buried in these cemeteries.
Reynolds Cemetery - Hannah Elizabeth Reynolds Born May 29 ____ Died August 2 ____ - There are two or three unknowns in this small cemetery at the foot of Reynolds Mountain. There is a rumor of a child being buried on top of the mountian also.

Old Bethel - The Bethel Cemetery land and church were donated
in the early 1930's by Mr. Will Mainord. His Granddaughter Myrtie
Mainord (April 22, 1932 - June 22, 1935) was the first person
to be buried in the cemetery. The second individual was Mahue
Carter (October 8, 1935 - August 6, 1937). This cemetery is still
being used today.
Sullivan Cemetery - Sullivan Cemetery is an old family
cemetery. There are about 5 or more unknowns buried there. The
last individual to be buried there was Willie E. Sullivan (May
12, 1885 - November 11, 1936).
