It was published in Rogersville TN and was the first newspaper in the state. It holds news from all over the state. 

Knoxville, April 21

On Thursday morning, the 5th instant, a party of five or six Indians, went to the house of Harper Ratcliff, in Stanley VAlley, about 20 miles from Hawkins Courthouse and killed his wife and three children; plundered the house, and instantly made off. They left behind them three war clubs, a bow and sheaf of arrows. - A company started immediatly after them, but returned without being able to overtake the savages.
