A. HILL to WILEY BAUCUM 2 Tracts (293 acrs, 105 acres) [Note: DANIEL ANDERSON HILL was WILEY BAUCUM'S brother-in-law. HILL was married to WILEY'S sister, ELIZA JANE.] State of Tennessee, McNairy County I, DANIEL A. HILL, have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer to WILEY BAUCUM and his heirs forever for the consideration of nine hundred dollars to me in hand paid by the said WILEY BAUCUM [a] certain tract of land in McNairy County, Tennessee: Beginning at a poplar 72 poles North of the NorthEast corner of Entry Number 304 in the name of JAMES L. CLAY, runs west 120 poles to a stake, 2 black jack and post oak pointers, then south to a stake in a field, then East 28 poles to post oak and black jack pointers, then South 116 poles to a stake, 2 black oak and hickory pointers, then West 20 poles to a black oak and black pointers, then South 118 poles to a stake, 2 post oak and hickory pointers, the NorthWest corner of a 15-acres tract that belonged to W. S. WISDOM, then East 126 poles to a stake and 3 black oak pointers, then North 124 poles to a stake and post oak pointers, then East 30 poles to a hickory and hickory pointers, then North 147 poles to a stake in a field, then West 43 poles to a stake in a field, then North 88 poles to the beginning, containing 293 acres more or less. The second tract is known as the John Pickel lands and is part of Entry Number 2064 in the name of W. S. WISDOM for 290 acres, that part of said entry now intended to be conveyed is bounded as follows: Begins 8 poles East and 8 poles South of the SouthWest corner of .... Reserve 959 in the name of JAMES L. CLAY at a hickory and black jack and hickory pointers, runs South 140 poles to a stake, hickory and 2 black oak pointers, then West 120 poles to a white oak, post oak and black jack pointers, then North 140 poles to a stake and 3 post oak pointers, then East 120 poles to the beginning, containing 105 acres more or less and the same land conveyed to me by JOSEPH and M. A. JACKSON on the 2nd January 1872 and includes and excludes 2 small tracts conveyed to me the ... to JOHN E. ROSS, containing 150 acres more or less and what I convey to the said WILEY BAUCUM is all of the land conveyed to me by JOE JACKSON on the 2nd January 1872 that I have not conveyed away today as shown by my deed. To have and to hold the same to the said WILEY BAUCUM, his heirs and assigns forever I covenant with the said WILEY BAUCUM that I am lawfully seized of said land having a good right to convey it and that the same is unencumbered.
