H. CASE to A. M. MCCALIP DEED, 261 Acres [Note: Aaron H. Case (abt 1825 - abt Dec 1856) was the son of Jonas E. and Katherine Case. Aaron was the husband of Elender Baucum. She was the daughter of Asa and Linnie Baucum.] I, AARON H. CASE, for and in consideration of five hundred and twenty two dollars to me paid, I have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to ANDREW M. MCCALIP, his heirs and assigns a tract of land in the State of Tennessee, McNairy County, Range 3 and Section 5 and bounded as follows (viz): Beginning at the North East corner of Entry _____ in the name of C. CASE, running East 191 poles to a sweetgum and 2 elm pointers, thence South 96 poles to a black jack, thence East 25 poles to a black jack and 2 black jack pointers, thence South 98 poles to a stake and 2 black jack pointer, then South 74 poles to a stake and 2 red oak pointers, thence West 120 poles to a stake, thence North 26 poles to a stake and 2 post oak pointers, thence East 58 poles to a stake and 2 post oak ponters, thence North 117 poles to a black jack and 2 black jack pointers, then North 111 poles to the beginning, containing by estimation 261 acres be the same more or less. To have and to hold the aforesaid land with all the appurtenances and hereditaments thereunto belonging to the said MCCALIP, his heirs, and assigns forever. I do covenant with the said MCCALIP that I am lawfully seized of said land, have a good right to convey it and that the same is unencumbered. I do further covenant and bind myself, my heirs, and representative to warrant and forever defend the title to said land and every part thereof to the said MCCALIP, his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims of all persons whatsoever this 13th day of January 1855.
