She is survived by her husband, Leonard A. Moore, Jr., son and daughter-in-law, Rick & Mary Willey Moore, daughter and son-in-law, Angie & Noel Echevarria, daughters, Karen and Rose Moore, along with grandchildren, Skylar, Molly, Owan, Isabel, Forrest, Coral, Jai & Sean. She lived a rich life! Clynell began her life in Corinth, Miss., the daughter of Rosie Cuzart & William Henry Wade. Later the family moved to Guys where she spent her childhood. She married Leonard A. Moore, Jr. of Selmer on June 1, 1953 and moved to Nashville, where her first two children, Rick Moore and Rose S. Moore were born. The family later moved to Minneapolis, Minn., in June 1956 where Clynell had her second two children, Karen Therese Moore and Angie Marie Moore. The family lived in Minneapolis until 1968 when they moved to Fridley, Minn. And resided there until Aug. 1999 when Clynell and Leonard retired to Pembrooke Pines, Florida. Mrs. Moore worked as a Patient Financial Representative at Boynton Health Service of the University of Minnesota for 28 years. She was a member of the National Business & Professional Women’s Association and President of the Sister Cities Association of Fridley, Minn. ----------------------- JONNIE RAMER TOWNSEND, 83, died of heat failure on June 18, 2001 at Methodist Healthcare-McNairy in Selmer. Mrs. Townsend was a retired manager of Selmer Townhouse Apts., a bookkeeper and also a member of Selmer First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Jennings Townsend, Sr., and her parents, John Thomas and Minnie D. Foster Ramer. She is survived by one daughter, Ann Smith of Stantonville, two sons, Guy Townsend of Selmer and Hugh Townsend of Bethel Springs, one sister, Mary Opal White of Corinth, Miss., along with fourteen grandchildren and four gr-grandchildren. Services were held for Mrs. Townsend at 3 p.m. on Wed., June 20, at Shackelford Chapel in Selmer with James Adkins officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Selmer. ----------------------- WILLIE H. CHESHIER, 79, of Bethel Springs, died June 21, 2001 from complications from a previous stroke at West Tennessee Skilled Nursing Home. Mr. Cheshier was a farmer, served in the U.S. Army for two years after WWII and a member of New Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, R. B. and Louzina Dillon Cheshier. He is survived by his wife, “Myrtle” Loraine Sheffield Cheshier, two sons Oneal Sheffield of Memphis and wife Vicki, and Billy Wayne Cheshier of Memphis and wife Kay, along with five grandchildren and three gr-grandchildren. Mr. Page was an independent Minister and former six year employee of Coca-Cola Bottling Works in Corinth, Miss., a member of F&AM Lodge #637 Corinth, Miss., and a Scottish Rite & Shriner 32. He was preceded in death by one son, James Frank Page, his parents, Robert Lee and Allie Mae Jones Page, and one brother, Larry Ray Page. Mr. Barham farmed as a young man and also did carpenter work and in 1942 he entered the U.S. Army, stationed in Louisiana, Austria, and France. He served in the Catus Division of General Patton’s Third Army, and returned in 1945. He was also a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one brother, R. B. Barham; and his parents, Marcus LaFayette “Fate” and Brookise Smith Barham. He is survived by his wife, Ora Lea Kelley Barham; one daughter Brenda Moore of Finger; one sister, Eura Mae Hardin of Adamsville; two grandchildren, Brigit Turner of Finger and Jessica Huckaby of Henderson; and one gr-grandchild, Hunter Turner of Finger. Smalley, who died in January of 2000, she was a retired adjunctive therapy technician at Western Mental Health Institute where she had worked for 29 years. She was born on May 4, 1916, in Michie, daughter of the late Robert and Myrtle Bowens Coln and lived in Hardeman County over 40 years. Mrs. Smalley was a member of the Church of Christ. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Tues. July 17 at Bolivar Memorial Cemetery with Maurice Pinkston officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar were in charge of arrangements.
