Mrs. Alexander was member of the World Wide Church of God. She is preceded in death by her parents, Vroner and Lula Plunk Staton and her husband, Dave Alexander. She is survived by two sisters, Alean Staton of Bethel Springs and Lorene S. Malone of Bethel Springs, two nieces, Brenda Malone and Jenny Komich, two nephews, Raymond Malone and Station Jordan, along with several great nieces and nephews. Services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 7, at Leon Johnson Funeral Home in Henderson. He was born to the late Fred and Geneva Pritchard Yarbrough on Wed., Sept. 30, 1942 in Decaturville, in the mount Caramel Community (Smith’s Bottom). Terry professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined the Morning View Baptist Church in Saltillo. He graduated from McNairy County High School in 1959, was a member and deacon at the Cypress Creek First Baptist Church, a faithful worker within the Tennessee River Missionary Baptist District Association for many years, a veteran of the United States Air Force, a former member and past master of Crescent Lodge #70, former member of Zarah Temple #151 Shriner’s of Jackson and a 32nd Degree Mason, a past president of the McNairy County Chapter of the NAACP, a school bus driver for McNairy County, a licensed mechanic, a concrete finisher and general contractor until his health forced retirement. Terry leaves to cherish his memory: a loving, devoted wife of thirty-five years Nola, a son, Adrian Yarbrough, a brother, W.T. (Elsie) Yarbrough of Selmer, two sister, Georgella (Phillip) Thornton of Atlanta, GA and Freddie Miller of Selmer, seven nephews, Fredrick Yarbrough, Michael (Tonya) Thornton, Phillip Allen Thornton, Michael (Michele) Jones, Nathan Hurt, Anthony (Sharon) Westbrook and Donald Westbrook, four nieces, Michelle and Joy Thornton, and Courtney and Sandra Miller, and aunt, Mamie Johnson of Clifton, a mother-in-law, Beatrice Westbrook, a brother-in-law, O.E. She was a retired dietitian with McNairy County General Hospital, a member of Central Baptist Church, and active in the Meals on Wheels program for many years. Services were held on Thurs. at 1 p.m. at Shackelford Chapel in Selmer. Burial was in Lake Hill Memory Gardens in Bethel Springs, with James Smith and Andy Robertson officiating. Pallbearers were Don Fiveash, John Longworth Ron Lunsford, Wayne Moore, Scott Halter, Steve Veter, Steve Hunter, and Stan Stephen. Mrs. Ray was the daughter of the late Robert and Rhoda Moore Ray and the wife of the late Guy Wade Ray. She was preceded in death by one son, Charles Whitten Ray. He was an U. S. Army WWII Veteran and an auto mechanic. Mr. Bishop was born and reared in Chester county, Plainview community, son of the late Joe Kent and Silpha Elizabeth Hollan Bishop. He attended schools in Jacks Creek and Plainview. He entered the U. S. Army in 1943 and served in the European Theater of Operations and returned in 1946. He worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. in Memphis and after that as an auto mechanic. The body was cremated and there was a private committal service on Thurs, June 1 at 6 p.m. at Cabo Cemetery. He was married to Judy Chadwell in 1976 and moved to Southgate, MI, where he resided until moving back to Tenn. In 1995. He was a wood craftsman, doing many craft show until illness forced his retirement in 1998. He is preceded in death by one brother, Johnnie Weaver and four sister, Doris Fay Weaver, Lavinia Stansell, Martha Cox, and Ruby Heflin. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Marsh Weaver of Henderson, one son, Adam Weaver of Southgate, MI, one daughter, Sheila Stansell Jackson of Macomb, MI, two brothers, Noah Weaver of Henderson and Everett Lee Weaver of Henderson, two sister, Louise Riley of Henderson and Ann Whitman of Bethel Springs, and two grandsons, Kris and Matt Jackson of Macomb, MI. He is preceded in death by his wife Mabel Phillips Wicker. Mr. Massey was born and reared in the Masseyville Community of Chester County. He attended Chester County Schools and graduated in 1959. He was employed at Western State at Bolivar and operated the Massey Grocery Store at Masseyville. He later drove a school bus and was also employed at UPS for many years, retiring in 1979 due to poor health. He had worked at Southwest Human Resources Agency. He was a Mason, member of the Henderson Lodge #485. He was found with cancer in 1994. He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Franklin and Odell Autry Massey, along with his brother Roy Dale Massey. He is survived by his wife, Dianne Tull Massey of Bethel Springs, two sons, Chad Massey of Pocahontas and James Massey of Whiteville, three daughters, Lisa Bruce, Teresa Morgan, and Stephanie Brown all of Adamsville, a brother, Charles Massey of Bolivar, a sister, Dorothy Roland of Montezuma, along with eight grandchildren. Services were held at Casey Funeral Home Chapel on Wed., Jan 17, at 11 a.m. with Brother Glenn Harris speaking.
