She was a homemaker and a member of Guys Christian Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Red Sides, son, Bill Sides, grandson, Jason Brown and parents Tom and Pearl Sides Sanders. She is survived by 7 daughters and 4 sons: Mary White of Middleton, Virgie Deming of Saulsbury, Louise Jones of Arlington, Dot Brown Frederick of Corinth, Tomas Sides of Guys, David Sides of East view, Eddie Sides of Guys and Johnny Sides of Henderson, KY. She had 31 grandchildren, 43 gr-grandchildren, and 10 gr-gr-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wed., at the Shackelford Chapel in Selmer. Burial followed at Olive Hill Cemetery in Guys with Rev. He was a retired truck driver for the McNairy County Highway Department, a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, and a former member of the National Guard. He is preceded in death by parents, Rayford and Beulah Ingle Russom, sister, Eddie Lou Goodrum. He is survived by wife, Doris Gooch Russom, five sisters, Minnie Michael of Selmer, Jane Hornbuckle of Selmer, Betty Smith of Selmer, Carolyn Jordan of Bethel Springs, and Martha Greene of Lexington, along with brother, Danny Russom of Selmer. Services were held Fri. at 1 p.m. at the Shackelford Chapel with burial at Falcon Cemetery in Selmer. Bobby Kirk officiated. She is survived by her two sons, Ricky Ray Rickman of Glendale AZ and Clyde Rickman of Jackson, her two sister, Patsy Brown of Michie and Brenda White of Michie and three grandchildren and two gr-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Ann Plunk of Jackson, one son, Robert King of Jackson, her sister, Doris Knight of Memphis, along with eight grandchildren, eight gr-grandchildren, and five gr-gr-grandchildren. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Wed., Feb. 14 at Wyatt Cemetery in Hornsby. Mr. Johnson was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, and army veteran, and the retired owner and operator of Pappy John’s Bar-B-Que. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nelda Jean Foust Johnson. He is survived by one daughter, Venida Stricklin of Clifton, four step-daughters, Barbara Burke of Rochelle, Ill., Darlene McCasland of Savannah, Sue Phillips of Selmer, and Lisa Colter of Selmer, three step-sons, Ron Friend of Pennsylvania, Paul Robinson of Selmer, and Bobby Robinson of Adamsville, his sister, Rose Mary Johnson of Fairfield, Ill, along with two grandchildren, 24 step-grandchildren, three gr-grandchildren and seven step-gr-grandchildren. The services were held at 4 p.m. on Sat., Feb. 17, at Shackelford Chapel.
