Joe DeLoach is the second person from the right.  Does anyone recognize any of the other workers?

My paternal grandfather, Joseph Alexander DeLoach, was a lumberjack

and lumber mill worker in Johnson County, TN between 1912 and

1935.  According to my father, he worked in sawmills at the following

locations:

Schyler Hollow, Doe Creek, Doe Creek (Laurels), Campbell Hollow,

Norris Hollow, Dugger Hollow, Shoun Hollow, Campbell's Creek, Midway

(Little Dry Run), Gar Matherly's in Carter County, Clint Perkins on

Roan Creek, Nettle Cove on Roan Creek, Conley Poole Hollow, Lou

McEwen Farm near Butler, Upper Gap Creek in Carter County, Proffit Hollow.

I recently inherited a picture of one of these sawmills that was
