Butler � Wilburn.

One of the most notable events of the merry Christmas tide was the marriage last Thursday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church of Mr. Warring Butler and Miss Hattie Wilburn.

The church was tastefully decorated with bamboo vine and holly and a large concourse of friends witnessed the union of two happy hearts. Miss Mary Kennedy presiding at the organ the following attendants moved slowly down the long aisles to the chancel rails; ushers, Dr. C. A. Abernathy, Dr. G. D. Butler, E. E. Eslick and Harris Solinsky; brides maids and groomsmen were Miss Kate Wilburn, of Fort Smith, Ark., maid of honor with Mr. Clarence Butler, Miss Maggie Wilburn with Harvey McMillion, Miss Louise Latta with Ira Tarpley, Miss Sallie Lou McCord with Will Yancey, Miss Laura Grant with Walter Butler, Miss Mamie Butler with Sam Woodward, Miss Sue Abernathy with Allen Loyd, Miss Mildred McCallum with Bidley Ridgway. The young ladies were very becomingly and stylishly gowned in street costume, each one appropriately carrying in her hands a sprig of holly. The bride was quite handsome in a beautiful suit and entered the main aisle leaning on the arm of her sister, Miss Kate Wilburn. She bore in her hands a bunch of parma violets and was joined at the altar by the groom who entered from the vestry room with his brother.

Rev. Marion Kennedy pronounced them man and wife in a beautiful and impressive manner.

The bridal party then repaired to the county home of Mr. Butler�s father where an enjoyable reception was tendered them. The bride�s a modest, cultivated, lovable woman and has hosts of friends in Giles County while the groom has always been considered one of Pulaski�s best and most deserving young men.
