 February Term 1858 Gibson County, Tennessee James Wilson's Will
The last will and Testament of James Wilson of the State of Tennessee and county of Gibson.

I, James Wilson, considering the uncertainity of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory, blessed be Almighty God for same do make & publish this my last will and testament in manner & form bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Wilson all my lands situated lying in the county of Gibson & State of Tennessee. I give to my wife Elizabeth Wilson a negro woman named Mary. I also give her my two mares, Gray & Pidge I give her all my cattle & hogs I give her all my household & kitchen furniture I give her my waggon and all my farming tools with all my crop that I have on hand to have and to hold the same during her life or widowhood. ??? I give my son John my young Gray horse I do hereby appoint my son Shadrack Wilson executor of this my last will & testament to collect all man up that may be owing to me Sell my bacon after leaving enough for the use of my family Sell my two shares of rail road stock and pay off all my debts If the above named amounts? should not be sufficient to pay my debts - Sell enough of property to pay them off at the death of my wife Elizabeth Wilson or her marriage. I will that all my children that are single living with me at this time shall be made equal with those that have married and left me. I then will all my property equally divided between my children Shadrack Wilson, Banna Eliza Wilson & Horace Wilson, Judith Ann Wilson , Susan Jane Wilson, John J. wilson, Delilu Catharine Wilson.
