James I. Cooper's Will
    I, James I. Cooper make and publish this my last will and testament. I
desire my property to remain with my wife to raise and educate my children and
my wife out of my effects shall pay my debts. If my wife shall marry again then
the property to be equally divided between her and the children. The undersigned
Thomas Cooper was called on by James I. Cooper deceased during last illness and
at his residence in Gibson County to witness what disposition, he desired to
make of his property after his death, and all of the under signed heard the
disposition declared by him in his last illness and at his residence which
disposition is now reduced to writing and the day of the late hereof and is
above written the said James I Cooper having died on 19th Jany A. D. 1851. In
testimony whereof we have set our hands and seals this 3rd Feby, A D 1851.

James Irvin COOPER died at the age of 36 years. He left a wife, Isabella
Eleanor DICKSON (COOPER) and seven children. About four months after his death,
Isabella gave birth to their eighth child whom she named after her deceased
husband.
