OVERVIEW

Gibson County has many incorporated towns and even a greater number of unincorporated towns and communities. These towns range from the larger cities such as Trenton, Humboldt and Milan to the small communities such as Frog Jump and Neboville. Each town and community is distinctive and has a wealth of history attached to it. But each town and community has many strong likenesses in their history such as their "small town" friendliness, their high moral and religious convictions, and their high work ethics which allowed our fore fathers to literally carve a county out of pure wilderness and make Gibson County one of the best places to raise a family and send a child to school. Please join us as we make an effort to tell the histories of each and every town and community in Gibson County.

If you have any information, pictures, letters, documents or other historical information which you can share with us concerning one of these towns or communities (or one that we have missed), please let us know. Contact Vicki and she will do her best to make things right.

Thanks for all the folks who have made these pages possible. Also, thank you, our viewer, for going through these pages, and for only a moment, stepping back to an earlier time, a simpler time, a time of high ethics where many times a hand-shake or someone's word was all that was needed to seal an agreement. We hope you have fun on your journeys through these pages. Learning our history can better prepare us for our future.
