Norman worked at the drug store at the crossing in Humboldt and also cooked for a while at a restaurant downtown in Humboldt. He played on the Humboldt High School football team when he attended high school. Norman was the son of Sam Cook and Addie Pearl Dunlap Cook. Norman is buried in the Rosehill Cemetery.
